Established in 1984 as a small farm specializing in the cultivation and procurement of straw mushrooms and other agricultural products, Tu Thao Export Straw Mushroom Food Processing Co., Ltd. has overcome numerous challenges since its inception. Today, the company’s products are available in both domestic and international markets.
According to the Crop Production Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Vietnam’s total mushroom output has reached 136,504 tons, with an average annual growth rate of 11.88%. The Southeast and Mekong Delta regions are the largest mushroom-producing areas in southern Vietnam, yielding nearly 80,000 tons annually. Notably, mushroom cultivation is concentrated in districts such as Lai Vung (Dong Thap), Long Xuyen City (An Giang), Thot Not (Can Tho), and Tra On (Vinh Long).
With decades of experience in agricultural production and processing, Tu Thao deeply understands the challenges faced by Vietnamese farmers and the agricultural sector. To maximize the use of local raw materials and meet the demands of both domestic and international customers, in addition to traditional straw mushroom products like salted straw mushrooms, canned straw mushrooms, and dried split straw mushrooms, the company has developed other products such as canned baby corn, pickled chili, dried chili, chili powder, pickled young ginger, pickled onions, frozen lotus root, canned rambutan with pineapple filling, canned lychee, canned pineapple, dried noni juice, and frozen noni.
Bringing Vietnamese Agricultural Products to the World
Mr. Nguyen Quang Trung, Director of the company, stated: “With a stable raw material area, skilled workforce, and modern equipment imported from reputable global brands, we are confident in providing the market with high-quality products that are diverse in design, rich in variety, and competitively priced.”
He further shared that in the near future, the company aims to become a leading producer, distributor, and exporter of agricultural products in Soc Trang in particular and the Mekong Delta in general, eventually expanding nationwide. Additionally, the company plans to export its products to most international markets, serving not only overseas Vietnamese communities but also introducing its products to global consumers.
To achieve this, the company must produce high-quality, safe products that retain their fresh flavors, continuously increase product variety from canned mushrooms to other canned agricultural products, thereby conveniently and promptly meeting the current demands of both domestic and international consumers.
Throughout its operations, having overcome numerous challenges since its early days, Tu Thao Export Straw Mushroom Food Processing Co., Ltd. proudly affirms its reputation, position, and brand in both domestic and international markets. The company’s products have been exported to Asian markets such as Taiwan, Thailand, South Korea, Hong Kong, the Philippines; European countries including Italy, Spain, Germany, Poland, Bulgaria, Switzerland, Sweden; and notably to demanding markets like the United States and Australia.
